Triathlon Official Roadmap

Like all organized sports, triathlon in Saskatchewan relies on the volunteer officials to help ensure safe and fair events in a wholesome atmosphere. Currently there are four levels of officials recognized by Triathlon Canada and the Saskatchewan Triathlon Association Corporation: Levels One, Two and Three and National Technical Officials.

All officials in triathlon begin at Level One. These positions are the backbone of the official’s community and represent the majority of officials used. STAC attempts to recruit and train Level One officials in each community hosting an event by offering a half-day workshop. By having a roster of Level One officials in each community, STAC can ensure that each triathlon has adequate officials support.   If there is a triathlon in your area, STAC will be willing to host an officials clinic prior to the event to train any individuals wishing to participate.

Officials for all sanctioned triathlons in Saskatchewan operate on a volunteer basis, but the Saskatchewan Triathlon Association Corporation (STAC) provides an honorarium for each appointed official as well as travel and accommodation costs when required.
